All go...

Finally, my time at cpw is over and Toula Rouge is all systems go.

The studio is being refurbished and I just need to work out how I'm going to pretty up, advertising etc.

Everyone has been incredibly supportive, I'm feeling very positive about my decision.

In the meantime - All jewellery on my website has 10% off !!!

The next 3 orders I receive will get 50% off !!!

There are pretties and practicals! - Things to help cover piercings when at work etc and my personal favourite; The star-shaped O-rings!!

It will be on my website tomorrow evening. So have a look, there will be more to come....

Also, have a look at the pole at the bottom of my blog. I'd be interested to see what people think.

There goes my impatience again....

It seems that I have ants in my pants, I have less than a month left of work and I'm itching to get on with my new career!
I'm about as organised as I can be, now I'm waiting to begin. There must be something I can be getting on with, but for the life of me, I can't think!

My jewellery order has been delayed, so that's still not on my website, should be within the next week though.

Hmmmmmm, what else..? ! Must stay busy busy busy!

;p

A little hop closer...!

I placed my first order last night. :)
As I mentioned yesterday, I was interested in getting things that would be suitable for work. I'll list everything, alongside pictures when it arrives.

I've also ordered in silicone flesh tunnels. I was pretty slow on the uptake with these! For anyone that has not ventured into the world of silicone (!) it's an excellent material for stretching ears. There is much less trauma on the skin. Because it's flexible, there is no forcing larger bits of jewellery into your lobes! So you're much less likely to get blow outs, and you don't get the pungent stink of cheese, like you do from plastic/metal tunnels or plugs. Happy days!!
( This doesn't mean don't wash them! )

Today's other update, is the fact that I went to see another studio today. It went well, but it would appear that they were hoping to have someone full time, but it's a very small town and with the studio's hidden location, I don't see that I'd be working very hard there!

So I've left it with them and if they are happy to have me in one day a week, then I'll take it up for a trial run. If not then it's Montana Studio all the way! And it's a beautiful studio! I like beautiful things!

I don't remember putting this link before? But either way, take a look!

I'm going to view another studio tomorrow, a much smaller one than the one I've already been to, but definitely worth a visit.

So Whilst I'm biding my time in my current job, I've decided to create an online shop. :)

I have found that when I'm looking for body jewellery, most online stores tend to just have bulk of random stock. Sooooo, my plan is to initially stock flesh tunnels, and retainers for facial piercings. I know how much it suck when you can't have a piercing in when you work, so you have to sacrifice it all together!

I'm looking into stock over the next few days, so any input on preferences would appreciated.

Watch this space!!

Starting Out... And my lack of Patience

I have 7 weeks before I'm working from a studio. I will be based for the majority in Montana Studio, in Bath.

I'll start my course with Mac McCarthy on the 10th May, I did some research on him, before I decided to train with him. From my discussions with him, and his views on body modification, I'm tempted to have a view of moving further into more complex modifications when I've built a reputation for myself.

Jon Cobb is another interesting person in this field, although from his Wikipedia page, he seems a bit 'airy fairy'.

So now all I have to do is wait. Wait to leave my current job. Wait for my course. I'm not one for waiting!

And reading everything I can find on the subject of piercing, Micro dermal anchors, influential professionals, doesn't make time go any quicker!
